Car Parts Create Furniture Pieces

The ability to use recycled products is currently at its peak in design.  Recycling old car parts however is very less likely to be used in Interior design but here are a few example that I found to be really unique.

This picture up above is an engine which is used as a base for a cocktail table.  If you look closely they have also made the engine operable as a wine holder underneath the table.  This engine cocktail table is as simple as just adding a fitted piece of glass attached to the top.

In this picture, you can see the transformation of a car hood into two coffee tables beside this chair.  This is  much harder to create than the engine cocktail table but created a great recycled piece. The two tables can also be pulled together to create one table.

Furthermore, is the creation of this unique 4 foot sink from recycled tires.  The tires are cleaned from debris and melted into this flat form and stretched over a plywood sink.  Only 15 percent of the tire was used in this process leaving an excess of materials to make 7 sinks from one tire!

It is critical to our environment that we reuse materials that we have made that is not biodegradable.  If we continue to dump our garbage in waste fields we are the ones that are loosing.  We are throwing away unique resources that can obviously be transformed into usable creations.
